Team 2 - Awesome Haily*

This is Haily’s and my second year participating in the Distance Derby.  Last year was an awesome year for us (assuming Haily’s agrees).  I may not have reached my distance goal of 750 miles but I did reach my first and second goal for the year.  I rode at 7 new places including a trip out to Colorado to the Rocky Mountain National Park.  And my first and most important goal was to get Haily and I to a point we had enough confidence in each other to ride ANYWHERE alone.  We accomplished this one in spades.  We even came across a bear in CO and WE handled it all alone. 

This year my miles goal is going to be 1000 miles; since I finally got a saddle that is fitting I think this goal is achievable.  I have 680 miles in competitive rides planned.  Unfortunately my eyes are always way bigger then my pocket book so I am not sure I will actually be able to afford 17 Endurance/ MOTDRA CTR rides this year.  But I do have 3 different friends that want to trailer pool so that will help the fuel costs. 

I look at my goals this way:  I shoot for the moon if I do not make it, at least I am up with the stars J
