Team 65 - Rush

My name is Christi Rush I am from the rural Jackson, NE area. I have always loved horses and as a kid rode all the time but it was always someone else's horses it wasn't until the last six years that I owned my own horse and learned riding horses and owning horses are completly different! I enjoy going riding with my friends and getting out and socializing with others that have simliar interests as myself. This is the first time I have been involved in the Distance Derby and I am looking forward to it and hope it pushes me to ride more!!!!!!

  4. Hi, Christi.

Sorry - I just saw your note on my bio so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I use a Garmin Foretrex 301. There are newer models (401, 501 & probably a 601 by now). Main difference is each newer models has a little more functionality - some of which I probably won't use. But any Garmin product seems to be good.

When you use Garmin, you can set up an account with their Garmin Connect application and upload your rides to that location. You can also sync your smart phone to the Garmin Connect account and use it if you don't have a GPS with you. I use my iPhone for short rides - 2 hours or less. Just be careful as it can drain your phone battery very quickly.

    Good luck & happy trails!
