Team 50 - Zuni*

Hi, I am Kathy Newberg from Walton, Nebraska (small town by Lincoln).  I love, love to ride horses.  I  had one as a little girl, then not again till my 40's.  My passion is trail riding and riding new places.  My husband, Rich and I travel each year to different states with our horses for vacations.  We have met some awesome friends and seen some spectacular places all from the back of our horses.  I have 2 horses, Moon, my old 27 year old quarter horse, whom I still ride and Zuni my spotted Foxtrotter who is one of the smoothest horses I have ever seen.

I am very involved with horse trails and creating and maintaining trails we have. I am currently Chairman of the Nebraska Horse Trail Committee.  Our little group has accomplished some very good things for trail riders, including adding a new trail and adding a equestrian campground with a partnership of Nebraska Game and Parks!!!.  I also organize Cowgirl Weekend which is a bunch of 20-25 woman who go camping and trail riding for a week each year, talk about FUN.

I love nothing more then crawling in the saddle and spending an afternoon with my husband or friends riding.  I will not win this competition but sure will have fun logging all those miles.
