Team 41 – Juanita
I am Juanita and was in the Derby in 2012. It was the best for my home stress the first 8 months of the year. We show reining horses and the one in the pic, I have qualified for the world several times. She has now been sold and we will be starting a new one this year.
Horses are not my life; my husband is. They are just the icing on the cake. We have broke many horses in the past and sold trail riding horses that we raised, broke and trained. I have hit an age marker now where it makes more common sense to not to that presently.

ok, hope you got this.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Jaunita! :-)
ReplyDelete0.42 miles today on Meme's great horse Chip. He and I decided oats for him and hot dogs for me was a better idea. The rest of the folks got a taste of what we had been doing and decided that all the folks who rode the last week of 2012 derby had to be a lil off.
ReplyDeleteHey Juanita,
ReplyDeleteI joined! Still figuring this blog stuff out.
Kally
You did it want is the number you got?
Delete7.3 miles today with meme and Shelley, MILES TO DATE 7.72
ReplyDelete10.10 miles today, working Dakota in the outdoor like a reiner, with meme and Shelley, MILES TO DATE 17.40, had to take Ray to a doctors appointment this a.m. take care of meme, lovely Chip,do dishes etc, a busy life
ReplyDelete19.05 miles, this didn't show up and was from Jan 8th. 6 miles today MTD 42.45
ReplyDelete6 miles on previous was from today Jan 9th.
ReplyDeleteMTD 42.45
Yeah, I sneak the miles in when I can...it's gonna get interesting once school starts...must be nice to be you!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...I know. Shoes. Got it. Much as I love walking my horse back in from an undetermined distance getting razzed the whole time. ...good thing I run as much as I do. :P
ReplyDeleteJust remember Ray+Rebel=swimming ;)
I rechecked my math and was at 42.87 on January 9th.
ReplyDelete7.31 miles on January 11th with the dog, posted this once but it didn't show up. MTD 50.18
ReplyDelete11.08 today January 12th, with Shelley, MTD 61.26
ReplyDelete11.77 miles today. MTD 73.03 Tried to send a pic that ray took to FB, as I was coming in but it did not show up, techno one and techno two. I gave Shelley my gps as she was going out her phone dies and she hasn't figured out how to use the one I loaned her, good luck with that.
ReplyDelete3.68 miles in the outdoor, went up after 3 this afternoon rode Dakota like a reiner instead of a speed demon. So nice without all the wind like the last two days. MTD 76.71
ReplyDelete3.54 miles, rode Dakota in the outdoor arena while Chips foot was soaking and he was getting oatmeal cookies, MTD 80.25, man is the weather better than this weekend when Shelley and I were out riding. i feel good but can not quite coughing. It is suppose to be great tomorrow. Just remembered to plug in my camera, it was dead as a door knob on Sunday, forcing me to try the ipad when i got in, lol
ReplyDeleteAnd how did that Ipad work out for you Miss Techie? :)
ReplyDeleteClass went really well today. So far...so good. I think I'm officially certified in CPR as of today.
2.45 Miles MTD 82.70. The ipad is better Kally but only because I was stuck in the hospital and it was forced upon me.
ReplyDelete6.25 miles what great weather. MTD 88.95 It was the best ride of the year so far, slow, and relaxed and I really needed that.
ReplyDelete8.82 miles today with Shelley. MTD 97.77 shelley went out on her horse and then we decided he was sore so came back and got Ray's horse. Rode over to the girl scout camp and back.
ReplyDelete2.45miles today, MTD 100.22 Rode lil fatty, she was the only one that didn't get knocked out by the vet for teeth today. My only goal was to make 100 before the end of the month. Mud, mud, mud, cinch was a mess, but made the goal. May ride tomorrow with Shelley, but short on horses today.
ReplyDeleteMiss you too! But we had an awesome airway lab...learned how to shove adjuncts up peoples noses or in the mouth/throat. To save someone's life of course...
ReplyDelete7.14 miles, MTD 107.36, rode with meth lab today, shelley was out of town and meme is working tons and going to school lots. The temps were so nice, lil wind but not bad and meth lab should let me do my evening exercises with assist, since she is tired.
ReplyDelete8.24 miles MTD 115.60 It was so greasy out there, melted on top and rock hard just underneath, I am never going to hit ten miles in one day at this rate. Bad weather tomorrow, but this is ok I plan on riding in the indoor anyway to get ready for the reining. It is such a different type of riding.
ReplyDelete7.82 miles MTD 123.42 same as yesterday Greasy, greasy, rode in the arena like a reiner just to start getting ready, cross your fingers, I want to go to go to the world. Only rode one in the arena, may do more tomorrow my goal this year is the AQHA world. rode three horses today. I rode Ray's horse to unteach him to trot so fast, it is the least I can do after I taught him to go like a rocket for the last ten days of of the derby last year. He was my arena horse today.Ray deserves the best, lol
ReplyDeleteAwesome that you are heading for world reining! Nice of you to redo Ray's horse LOL.
ReplyDeleteDiane
7.84 miles outdoors, MTD 131.26, rode horses in the arena, sad the miles don't count in there, darn, well have to ride like a reiner so can't have it all, lol. thanks diane, my aim is the worlld.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you say that the miles ridden in an area don't count? If you can GPS it they count.
DeleteI think Juanita means that her GPS doesn't work indoors, so she can't count them.
ReplyDeleteDiane
Oh, ok. I knew she had issues with it working indoors last year. I've found that if I get my GPS going outside it keeps working in the indoor arena. Then all I have to do is reset it to zero to start riding. (Depends on which part of the barn I'm in though. Thankfully I don't ride in the alley and that's where it does not work most frequently.) Sad to lose any miles but then again, it's just a game. :-D
Delete6.71 miles today with Meme and shelley. MTD 137.98. I don't even carry my GPS inside anymore. I have dropped it so many times. It only works inside if both end doors are open and the sun is shining and I mean it. I found last year if I could carry it in my hand so clothes didn't cover it up it would work, but then lost the point of training in the arena, which is why I just don't even bother anymore. Slick Slick out, rode Ray's horse out so a slow ride to any where, but have to re teach him to be the china carrier that he was.
ReplyDelete1.08 miles MTD 139.06 Three of us started out and the sleet came down and we ended up riding iin the arena for the entire time. Jessica Vallery met up in the arena and she was jumping barrels. Meme, shelley and edie were all riding in the arena with Jess. It was fun and the back to the house for soup and a big glass of wine, lol.
ReplyDelete6.26 miles with Shelley,MTD 145.31. the weather was perfect. Got to ride the reiners this morning, what an emotional lift after getting off of those two. I was like floating with no reins and just going where ever I looked.
ReplyDeletetest, i fixed it
ReplyDeleteHey Juanita, Has it been cold and yucky there, it sure has been here, I have not been able to ride as much as last week. I had to a couple of days as we had to bring cows up to vaccinate and sort, but burrrrrrr, its cold.
ReplyDeleteFebruary 15
ReplyDelete8.65 miles with Meme and Shelley
MTD=153.96
zzz
ReplyDeletemaybe
ReplyDeleteOk, Jim came out and got it fixed but thanks to Shelley who posted my miles from yesterday while we were having tech problems. Between Jim, Tyler , and Jessica they may all be fixed
ReplyDeleteWe see you Juanita :-)
ReplyDeleteDiane
6.38 miles MTD 160.34 last ride out before the blizzard, my feet were freezing, didn't wear two pairs of wool socks like I usually do when it is cold.
ReplyDelete5.17 miles, MTD 165.51 Such a fun ride in the snow with meth lab. the snowmobiles were out. Ray's horse was a trooper and just ignored them, meth lab chased them and got really tired, yeah. Ran into a very brave coyote, certain it was the Shelley and I ran into, but today meth lab was in full blown season, so off we ran to chase him away before, meth lab could keep up.
ReplyDelete8.12 miles MTD 173.83. What a great ride in the snow with Shelley and Edie. No wind the sun was out for the most part, Jack had a lil fit, but Shelley now has the tools to fix those and good for her.
ReplyDelete4'68 milses MTD 178.51 I was nicer this morning than it was this afternoon, so glad I decided to ride then. I went and did errands with Ray and then went out and rode the reindeers, butterflies, so much fun. Ray loves to watch me ride them. I took a camera and put it in the car first thing this morning so i would not forget, then forgot to bring it into the place, dumbbell me.
ReplyDelete7.26 miles MTD 185. 77 rode out this morning, frankly have ridden out or in most of the day just now came in. Meth lab is getting stronger and stronger about keeping up at a fast trot and when I ride alone that is what we do. Rode Ray's horse in the arena to decide if another saddle was going to the sale in April, but was able to get the stirrups short enough for me so that lovely handmade saddle stays, Tif was correct don't let the last one go to nice to sell.
ReplyDeleteIn the last posting you had me at 185.57 my math has me at 185.77
ReplyDelete6.41 miles MTD 192.18 Rode with Shelley and the wind was howling, cold, cold, but so needed it
4.16 miles MTD 196.34 Didn't even let meth lab go this morning so I didn't have to mess with her. I rode horses all day and I mean all day. It was the best, again to bad the gps doesn't work inside. Cat is feeling better and what spins we had. Dakota, who I rode in the derby got a lil excited because I forgot to take off my spurs and gave her a pretty big shot, oh well, suck it up baby.
ReplyDelete6.84 miles with Shelley and Meme. MTD 203.18 I didn't make the 100 a month but I got there.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 200! Virginia and I hit that mark yesterday riding together! Looks like a lot of people are getting to 200 early this year!
DeleteI am cheering the endurance riders on this year, truly. It is more fun than you know to watch the new folks take off. I am short one horse this month, that is my excuse and I am sticking with it.
DeleteThe weather has cooperated with us also, I am not an endurance rider, always wanted to try it though, I have not ever ridden this much this time of year. I know when we start putting up hay I will be riding a tractor more than my horses, so have to ride as much as I can now. :)
DeleteCongratulations Juanita for making the 200 mile mark, way to go. I hit it today, woo hooo.
ReplyDeleteNow to get a lil smack going as Tammy calls it, Get those quarter horses moving, do you really think those arabs in this mud should be beating you. They are desert horses for goodness sake, lol,
Delete3.64 miles MTD 206.82 I think I might have been the smart one, riding inside with Sue yesterday instead of outside. The temps were much better today. Took the puppy and now I have a muddy mess. Rode just enough to get her tired, so her training would go better.
ReplyDelete6.56 miles, MTD 213.38 Slick, but fun, rode lil fatty out and then rode Lena and fatty in, hope tomorrow it is dryer, The weather could not have been better.
ReplyDelete4.15 miles MTD 217.53 rode slow down the road with Shelley, the fields were to muddy and slick. The horses both had just been trimmed, might have been the slowest miles I ever got, but man did I need to be out for my mental health.
ReplyDeletedidn't ride today, wanted to but Ray didn't want me out alone, so walked the dog instead, it was lovely.
ReplyDeleteOkay...Juanita I had to check on who's writing poems...and...did someone seriously name their horse meth lab? LOL I don't know you folks, but am lovin' the scrolls of friendly harassment LOL
ReplyDeletethe dog is named meth lab
Delete5.72 miles this morning. MTD 223.25 I needed this so badly, muddy on the road but no traffic. I may ride again this afternoon with Shelley, but not certain I will make it since meth lab jumped on me and two and couldn't go back to sleep.
ReplyDelete3.36 miles this afternoon with Shelly, very slow miles in the mud sucking fields. MTD 226.61. My lovely husband just got put to bed and he cried because, he told me I take such good care of him, my heart breaks.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about Ray. Prayers for both of you.
ReplyDeleteDiane
4.72 miles on Monday or Tuesday morning, wrote it down didn't post it and can't remember which day now. MTD 231.33
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to ride Juanita. Praying for Ray!
ReplyDeleteDiane
Thinking of our friend, Juanita (Team 44), who is home caring for her husband. Her Facebook posts are infrequent but touching. She is where she needs to be right now. The trail can wait.
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you, Juanita! Take care of Ray and yourself! Hugs from Montana!
ReplyDeleteray is feeling much better today and walked up and down the halls without getting short of breath. We are going to riding the show horse tomorrow and if Ray feels good Wednesday I may venture out for a ride.
Delete5.46 miles MTD 236.79 a friend sat with Ray so I could ride for lil over an hour today. It was nice just to get outside, but somehow not the same.
ReplyDelete6.27 miles, MTD 243.06 rode with Shelley today slow and just down the rode, It was heaven, cowboy felt good today, manure moved, electric fence up to keep horses off the side pasture. Thanks to Shelley for a lovely couple of hours, not the high speed I used to ride.
ReplyDeleteAll my love and prayers Juanita. I will dedicate all my miles to Ray. Im so glad he and I became friends. Riding for Ray.
ReplyDeleteLove you
Shelley
My thoughts and prayers are with you Juanita. Although I never got to meet Ray, your love and respect for your cowboy are evident in your Facebook posts. Thank you for sharing and inspiring others. Marvel
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you Juanita... So sorry to hear of your loss & the loss of another Cowboy - they are the rarest of men & the most cherished - by those of us who know what means to be a Cowboy... He will be greatly missed & remembered forever~
ReplyDeleteAlex and I send our deepest sympathy! Ray was the most wonderful man and loved by so many! His smile and laugh could fill a room. Prayers to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI have not had the pleasure of meeting you and Ray, but I have heard nothing but good about both of you. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteJuanita, thinking of you and so sorry that your cowboy had to ride on.
ReplyDeleteJuanita, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure Ray is riding in Heaven! May God bless you and bring your peace.
ReplyDelete4.11 miles MTD 247.17 thanks Shelley for walking my horse by the kitchen window, so I knew she needed out of the pen.
ReplyDelete11.12 miles MTD 258.29 shelley took me out this afternoon with Kim, we are all going to be so sore.
ReplyDelete7.82 miles Mtd 266.11 Tif and shelley.
ReplyDelete3.29 miles on Wednesday. MTD 269.40 rode the reiner at Matt's in the outdoor arena, cried and rode, cried and rode.
ReplyDelete5.11 miles MTD 274.51 another milestone today, rode the park so many memories, hard not to cry down the trail, so I did. Rode with Shelley, Stacy Perkins new to me and so nice, and nina nina, They asked me if I wanted a beer and I said only if it was a Corona and they had it. Ray always bought me one case a year and I drank the last one May 3rd and never plan on buying it myself, warmed my heart that they thought of it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a good ride, cry and beer with great friends! Makes for a wonderful day :-)
ReplyDeleteDiane
2.53 miles, MTD 277.04 rode the reiner outside at Matt's, she was so good, cry every time I look over and see Ray's horse there. I know lil Cooper is having fun with him. We will be swapping horses out in a number of weeks so coop can up grade to a finished reiner.
ReplyDelete3.27 miles, MTD 280.31 Rode the reiner today rode last week also but inside so the miles didn't show, oh well.
ReplyDelete4.76 miles MTD 285.07. rode with a young lady today from Michigan, who is a new grad, met her thru our wyoming friends, she is coming back to help on tuesday and then off to wyoming for a month.
ReplyDelete7 miles today with Jessica and Jordyn. MTD 292.07
ReplyDelete91.69 miles MTD 383.76 I could see him over my left shoulder every time I looked. bittersweet. Rode with Vanessa and her lil rocky mountain horse and covered lots of ground. rode everyday in the hills and ate out every night no cooking not once.
ReplyDelete2.44 miles on Cat at Matt's MTD 386.20. I am to old to canter that much in the heat.
ReplyDelete8.35 miles, with Shelley, Rod, Tif. MTD 394.55. It was shelley's fathers birthday and they came with the picnic for lunch, shelley stayed to fish with them and we took her horse home with us. The morning ride was cooler.
ReplyDelete9.78 miles with Meme and her Friend, MTD 404.33
ReplyDeletecongrats on getting over 400 miles :-)
ReplyDelete3.15 miles riding at Matt's this morning early. MTD 407.48 A long way from last year but who is counting.
ReplyDelete10.34 miles Thursday, Friday, Sat, and sunday Man am I behind last year. 417.82
ReplyDelete3.02 miles MTD 420.84 rode with the girls, then Shellley came on Jack, she rode and rode. I was working a horse for a friend and helping the girls so no way could I keep up with her.
ReplyDelete2.89 miles on Trigger, boot camp for him today wasn't as bad, rode before noon. MTD 423.73, Debbie and her husband Josh were so nice to help me with fertilizer this spring it is my pleasure to help with her horse. He does the diagonal down the rail, and turns ninety degrees with a loose rein snaffle, hopefully we will bump up the process tomorrow. One thing it gets me out and riding.
ReplyDelete2.15 miles, hot , hot, MTD 425.88. I am going to try and ride him twice tomorrow, early and then with the girls later, since they are picking him up on Friday, maybe two rides on that day as well.
ReplyDelete3.27 miles on Trigger, weather was so much better. MTD 429.15, hopefully it won't be so hot when I ride him again this afternoon with the girls, only so much time before his owners pick him up.
ReplyDelete3.09 miles with the girls and awesome productions, lol. I get more fun with those kids than anything else. MTD.432.24 I will ride Trigger again in the morning and then he will be going home in the afternoon.
ReplyDelete2.78 miles this morning on Trigger, He goes home later today. MTD 435.02 He is doing so good, and it was my pleasure to help Deb with her lil quiet horse. I will get one more ride on him this afternoon and then bye, bye.
ReplyDelete3.72 miles rode trigger again, then deb got on and I rode Dakota, hot, hot, but it may be my last ride on Dakota she may be going to a new home tomorrow. MTD 438.74
ReplyDelete5.04 miles today, rode Dakota twice and then Trigger, he stayed one extra day. MTD 443.78 My last rides on Dakota, she is moving to Kansas. Bittersweet, but things in everybody's lives change. Ray and I always had a theory, buy high, sell low and we never were upset, miss him.
ReplyDelete10.23 miles with Jess, meme, dan and Stacy at Pierce creek poker ride. Won an outdoor temp thing, MTD 454.01
ReplyDelete2.64 miles this morning, getting the horses ready for the girls first show on Saturday. MTD 456.65 Girls may come out to ride tonight if the weather holds.
ReplyDelete3.68 miles with lil jordyn, we rode and rode and practiced and practiced for her show on Saturday. If she and I were showing I think we would win the ribbon race, but alas she will ride with lil Madison and that is a good thing. MTD. 460.33 I think the truly only fun I have is with these lil girls, They will both be here tomorrow so I may have to borrow a horse since I have sold one of ours and loaned out another.
ReplyDelete5.49 miles finally rode down the road on Lena since she has shoes and all the gravel. MTD 465.82 Last time I did road riding Ray was still alive, but on hospice. Girls will be here tonight and only two horses here now, so I will just watch and help them.
ReplyDeletetruly walked up to the outdoor arena, while the girls rode tonight, only two of our own horses here now, so grandma didn't make any miles tonight, but it was fun to help the girls for over two hours, maybe more fun than riding.
ReplyDelete6.36 miles, rode two reiners at the trainers, my own and another one. Finally riding ours with a real bit and one hand, cantered circle after circle at a fast speed over and over until she quick picking up her pace in the middle and kept her head down where it should be. The world show will have to wait until next year, we are just starting to click. MTD 472.18
ReplyDeleteJim hunter did a great job on my horn bag repair, so now I can get the gps out of my bra
1.13 miles on Jack of all horses, MTD 473.21. Helped tons with horses at the fun show on Saturday, but did not ride a lick. Laughed at the lil girls on the two paints, did my heart good to watch them. Shelley and Stacey were great and we decided that sweet lil team Meme might be the devils spawn, lol
ReplyDelete2.87 miles on the reiner, MTD 476.08, second time riding one handed with her and it was the bomb.
ReplyDelete2.68 miles leading Caitlyn on Lena and me on Phoenix, MTD 478.76
ReplyDelete8.31 miles , rode the reiner early for a change at Matt's, then back here like a flash because Caitlyn wanted to ride by herself in the outdoor arena and we rode and rode, she trotted and trotted. Before she leaves tomorrow, she wants to get up early so she can ride up there by herself again, I am getting tired, lol. MTD487.07
ReplyDelete3.11 miles MTD 490.18 I am so sick of pony saddles at this point, but it was fun to see her enjoy it so much and am so grateful, Ray mounted us up with the best, so kids could ride along and have safe fun.
ReplyDelete3.02 miles leading the boys, round and round this afternoon, way to hot to ride inside. MTD 493.20. The lil guys had to share the same horse and I rode fatso. I swear, I have seen that pony saddle over and over for the last week, even Lena is starting to get passive aggressive behavior from the cute kids that can't ride, speaks well for her. I will jump on her tomorrow myself and we will have a re education time.
ReplyDelete8.16 miles down the slow road with Lena. MTD 501.36. She needed good ride time after all the kids the last few weeks. Got sprinkled on, wish it would have been a downpour.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting over 500 miles :-)
ReplyDeletethanks Diane, long way from where I was last year.
Delete3.17 miles this morning on the reiner at Matt's, had some issues today, so it was a long lil number of miles, walking, correcting, etc. MTD 504.53 Will be heading to Lincoln tomorrow to ride the reiners, before the show.
4.23 miles on the reiner, bad, bad ride, lots of redo's, MTD 508.76 The joke at the barn is "If I were a Sisco chick, I would have gotten off and sold the horse."
ReplyDeleteLOMA!! Sisco..... LOL!
Delete3.65 miles with Shelley, MTD 512.41
ReplyDelete2.39 in Lincoln in the outdoor, warming up reiners for the show. MTD 514.89 Horse won with the trainer, I missed a rear lead, broke gait, looked like a mess to me, lol.
ReplyDelete2.76 miles with Stacey last night, MTD 517.65
ReplyDelete31.21 miles, with Jessica, Shelley, Tif, todd, toni, rod, and Edie. MTD 548.86 rode at Petersburg.
ReplyDeleteDarn...I with I could have been there with you guys. I bet it was a blast. Tell everyone I say "HI".
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I think you would have had more fun if you would have stayed here, lol
DeleteI wonder that too! Who knew?
Delete8.69 miles at Pierce Creek, with a bunch MTD 557.55, I don't know why Jessica's phone always shows more than my GPS
ReplyDeleteMine showed 8.93 miles, maybe I got more because I was going over the obstacles etc.... or its just a conspiracy against you! (evil laugh)
Delete3.06 miles on the reiner, MTD 560.61 Hotter than heck. will have to do it earlier next time.
ReplyDelete2.47miles on the reiner, MTD 563.08, GEEEEEZZZZ, it was hot.
ReplyDelete2.34 on the reiner MTD 565.42
ReplyDelete2.11 miles, MTD 567.53 not as hot today at the show, I have decided why my GPS picks up less miles. I carry it in my BRA, so the pommel bag doesn't interfere with the reining horses, and over time the sweat has mess it up. Even the sock I put it in is soaked, that is my story and I am sticking to it, lol
ReplyDelete4.90 on Sunday and 2.98 reiner today, MTD 575.41, Just can't seem to get excited about riding, my new normal isn't working for me yet.
ReplyDelete6.82 miles MTD 582.23 Got to ride 3 reiners this morning, all at high speed. Trainer had them saddled and waiting when I got there. I got to ride Georgie, Top Sail Whiz stud of Bob Loomis's brother Ed, that was a real treat. The best broke and trained horse I have ever ridden. Almost got me excited about riding again. The trainer wanted me to ride him so that I will see where Cat we be shortly and that I am doing Ok with his program, my horse isn't quite finished yet.
ReplyDeleteThis thing wouldn't let me publish with my name, so I am going to try again.
ReplyDelete3.52 miles MTD 585.75 rode with Stacy and Shelly tonight, got to ride lovely lazy Lena, she is the bomb, why don't I ride her more.
ReplyDelete1.92 miles rode with Heather tonight to help her with her confidence riding out in the open, went round and round the lil pasture. MTD 587.67
ReplyDelete4.68 miles first with Heather and then Edie MTD 592.35
ReplyDelete4.87 miles, two reiners, MTD 597.22
ReplyDelete4.05 miles with myself and the Shelley showed up and rode with me. MTD 601.27, getting more riding in now that the lawn mower is broke.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting over 600 miles :-)
ReplyDelete4.68 miles MTD 605.95, rode out to catch Jack for Shelley, then trot twenty, walk five, trot ten, walk five, trot 15, walk five trot five, red spot where you don't want to know . Rode the saddle that fits the horse but not me. It has been a hard 600, just don't have the want to, the reining horses are what keep me riding.
ReplyDelete5.21 miles, MTD 611.16. reiner, at Lincoln, and at home after.
ReplyDelete2.82 miles on the reiner, MTD 613.98
ReplyDelete1.16 miles MTD 615.14 on the reiner.
ReplyDelete4.34miles with Shelley up and down the hills, MTD 619.47
ReplyDelete5.36 miles yesterday MTD 624.8
ReplyDelete7.39 miles Tuesday and Wednesday, rode lena and jack yesterday and just lena on Tuesday. MTD. 632.19
ReplyDelete5.17 miles, rode mine and ponyed Jack for Shelley. she is sick and wants him in better shape. MTD 637.36
ReplyDelete14.72 miles MTD 652.08 rode two parks today with friends. Rode like last year, ahead and then back to the rest of the group, it finally felt good, hope it lasts
ReplyDelete3.17 miles on the reiner MTD 655.25
ReplyDelete4.58 miles, MTD 659.84 rode Jack a a high speed trot for Shelley to get him in shape, I am beginning to think maybe shelley is faking being sick so I will trot her horse all over for her.
ReplyDelete5.10 miles with Stacy, MTD 664.94
ReplyDelete5.32 miles Mtd 670.25. At this point I am certain Jack agree's with Shelley and I am the devil. He now trots with his head down outside like a reiner, lol. High speed and all, poor lil guy, even I almost feel sorry for him. If Edie comes later he will get it again and Edie will ride Lena, lol
ReplyDelete4.67 miles MTD 674.92 Lena
ReplyDelete3.89 Lena MTD 678.81
ReplyDelete7.18 miles, started out on Jack then Shelley showed up and I got back in Lena's saddle. MTD 685.99
ReplyDelete5.88 miles MTD 691.87
ReplyDeleteSlow down old gal, yer makin it hard for me to catch up, lol
ReplyDelete78.39 miles MTD 770.26 Rode gaited one day, rode only with locals on different rides all over the place. Went to places you could only go by foot or horseback, got to see a private lake, cave springs, devils well, two different set of wild horses herds, rode big creek one day, shawnee one day, sunken lands one day and around Vanessa and John Stone's lovely homes who were the best host's. They trailer us out and meth lab got to have a private compound to play with all her new friends all day, until she was tired.

ReplyDeleteJuanita,
ReplyDeleteStopped at your blog to see if I could help you, wasn't certain why you asked about my GPS as I am a newbie & lots has been posted by others far more knowledgeable than me about options?
But it doesn't look like you need any help given you were last year's Distance Derby Winner! Congrats!
Anyhow, you seemed to run into the same adding challenges as I did early on which is why I decided just to round down to nearest whole number, way less of a headache for our busy lives. And it looks like you learned that the fancy stuff is often waaaaay more confusing. There are lots of simple free apps that work well. I just stuck with what I used from my triathlon days. So good luck to you & happy trails!
11.21 miles MTD 787.26 with Stacy, Tif, and many more. The weather was nice and won a coupon for horse feed, yeah.
ReplyDelete3.68 miles MTD 790 94 buzzed around the pasture with meth lab and checked fence, so much colder than yesterday. Only thing left to do outside today is move a hay feeder and let the horses out after I fed them.
ReplyDelete2.89 miles MTD 793.83 buzzed around the pasture for a few and finished cleaning the tack room. Sad, Ray always did that. I never ever swept it, first for me and very sad.
ReplyDelete6.5 miles more than likely more, but forgot my gps in the tack room and Jess said it was almost 7 so I will take the difference. MTD 800.33
ReplyDelete5.63 miles MTD 805.96 rode two reiners at the trainer today, good rides very fast, on one, lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting over 800 miles :-)
ReplyDelete4.64 mile on Thursday MTD 810.60
ReplyDelete14.71 miles Saturday thru today, MTD 825.31 didn't even make it to the trainer today, decided to try the corn field.
ReplyDelete2.68 miles at the trainer, MTD 827.99 Had the best ride yet, on the show horse maybe next year we will be a team to reckon with, not so much heart for it this year,
ReplyDelete4.45 miles MTD 832.44, rode with Heather and Lexi
ReplyDelete3 miles MTD 835.44 rode with shelley
ReplyDelete6.21 miles MtD 841.66 rode with Shelley in the fields to TT house and past and then home.
ReplyDelete9.54 miles MTD 851.20 Rode at Pierce Creek today with a bunch got more miles than Shelley LOL, because of our bathroom run and hunting for the new people that didn't stay up with us, yeah for me. heather got over the mud water without her horse jumping for the first time, I was so very happy for her. Missed that Meme, learning to jitterbug couldn't have been that important.
ReplyDelete3.16 miles rode the show horse, so cold outside. MTD 854.36
ReplyDelete2.32 miles on Cat MTD 856.68
ReplyDelete3.51 miles this afternoon, may be the last nice day out. MTD. 860.19
ReplyDelete5.62 miles MTD 865.91 so pretty out for this time of year rode alone for a change, cried and rode, so many memories.
ReplyDelete3.16 on the reiner, MTD 869.07
ReplyDeleteJuanita would you please readd your Nov. miles, my spreadsheet shows 868.96. Thanks, Diane
ReplyDeleteI readded and you are correct the first time i added it i got over 40,000 miles must not have hit a decimal, lol.
ReplyDelete6.49 miles MTD 875.25 Shelley was the only one that didn't back out on the cold and we rode the racetrack for the first time since Ray died, bitter sweet..
ReplyDelete2.16 miles MtD 877.41 Reiner with company for a change. didn't ride as long, but it wasn't so cold which was nice.
ReplyDelete4.16 mile. MTD 881.57 not long, but forgot my underwear, lol
ReplyDelete10.45 miles MTD 892.02 rode with Shelley, hope to ride again tomorrow and then sunday if the weather holds. Saw one bow hunter setting up as we rode in, but the guns will be out next weekend.
ReplyDelete5.27 miles MTD 897.29 what a great day if I didn't have to come in to clean up for the ball game I would have ridden 15 darn it. Started with heather and then ended up by myself.
ReplyDelete8.58 miles MTD 905.87, rode round and round our place with Heather on Lena to get the dogs tired, then headed out across to the cornfields and Shelley showed up, rode back and forth until she was ready, rode with her until we had to cross the road , then Heather and I headed back a different way. Beautiful day. Heathers horse is now over at the trainer, so Lena was on loan. Thought I had one more day in the month since I planned on hitting 900 in November but that didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting to 900 miles even if it wasn't by the end of Nov. :-)
ReplyDelete7.39 miles MTD 913.26 Rode with Sandy today a nurse I used to work with years and years ago. She hasn't rode for ten years, since her horse died. She is going to be sore tomorrow, lol. She is looking for a horse now SHORT, because she is, she came to ride, to get her riding legs back again. Thanks Diane maybe I will make my goal by the end of this month, or not.
ReplyDelete6.72 miles, colder than yesterday because of the breeze, MTD 919.98, after yesterday, Sandy has two horses on the horizon , a retired reiner and a fab looking trail horse, We may have to have that Jessica Vallery ride it, since it is in Ill.
ReplyDelete5.82 miles, MTD 925.80 Rode the race track .70 one way and depends on where you turn about the same. so very sad, but just kept thinking Ray would be there when I came back. The end was sad but funny, have new people that live next door, they have free ranging chickens. I told them, I love them but the dogs would get them. When we were coming in a rooster was in the cornfield and meth lab took off with lumpy dump Icon in hot pursuit. Well, she ended up with her first rooster, I feel bad, but that will happen when you let them roam and you have had it explained to you.
ReplyDelete3.67miles not many today hunters, MTD 929.47 hopefully a few more tomorrow.
ReplyDelete5.76 miles MTD 935.23, it was so pretty today got done before the hunter settle in for the day. Piper missed her friend, icon but we can go faster without that lazy toad.
ReplyDeleteI entered other miles and they didn't show up, 5.76 MTD that point 935.23 rode with just piper yesterday. Today wait will post that separate since that is what I always do.
ReplyDelete7.28 miles at high speed, stress does that, MTD 943.51 Piper is pooped. shelley just emailed as i walked in the house and as luck would have it my horse is stilled saddled in the barn, got her to wet. We may ride with each other when she gets off work, don't know if the dog can make it twice.
ReplyDeleteOk, I am going to try and post these one more time it has not let me twice 5.76 yesterday, 7.28 this morning and early afternoon, 7.13 this afternoon with Shelley MTD 950.64
