Welcome, Kelly. Another one from the SE part of Nebraska. We have quite a few from the area & in Iowa. Welcome! (Bays are my favorite flavor!)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for daylight savings time!! I can start riding after work and put some miles on the board!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy! I'm excited to meet new people and do a lot of riding. I just got my Garmin in the mail the other day so as soon as I figure it out I will be on the board! The bay is my 18 year old gelding. I also love bays.

ReplyDeleteMay 23 2013 It's been a difficult month. My father in law and grand mother passed away just 3 weeks from each other. Things are starting to settle down, so I'm riding again. Rode 2.31 Miles for a total of 6.39.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your family. My condolences. Riding is such a wonderful way to settle down, glad you got to ride.

ReplyDeleteJune 28, 2013 Rode Twister 4.25 miles for a total of 13.89
ReplyDeleteI have been riding this summer, just keep forgetting to put on my garmen! I will do better! Also been trying to get my 18 year old gelding better. He tested positive for PSSM1. He is the one in the picture. It's a horrible muscle disease. Put him on a special diet. So sad to see him like this. He has been lame all summer, now I know why.
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sad to read this about your guy :-( Sure hope he gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteI have been riding this summer. Been riding my gelding Twister, but I keep forgetting to use my garmen. My mind this summer and fall has been on my 18 year old gelding who I have had since he was 7 months old and was my riding partner for all these years. It's been really hard on me to see him in such pain. Euthanasia has been in the back of my mind if I can't get him pain free. Every time I think of it I start to cry. I cry when I lunge him and see his back legs not working right. If I could just get his back legs moving again. Tried special diets and supplements. Did super chem blood work on him. Tested for everything under the sun. Glu low, Bilirubin low and Amylase very low. Glucose i can see because he is on a high fat low sugar and starch diet. Because of his pssm1 status he can't store sugar. Been trying to figure out how to get Amylase as a supplement. Trying to do every thing for him I can. Hope every one else is having a great fall. I think I needed to vent to someone.
